Saturday 13th November. A week to go before the grand opening.

Activity on site is hectic as people race to beat the deadline. The noise is almost overwhelming. Carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers and floorlayers are jostling for position. I might just have to go and take a lie down on that sofa to get over it. Oh... hang on a moment....


	Somehow it was all right on the night! 20th November 2004 at the opening. Of the 150 people who attended, 130 stayed for dinner, and we think that they all got hot food.




			Finally the designer got to 'sign off' his work in a very satisfying way! The end of one long journey and hopefully just like burning chaff, a clearing of the decks for another year of growth at Avenue Baptist.
